Toronto High School "Social" 1969
At that time Armageddon were "Gully Erosion" - a name thought up by Pete’s schoolmate Fod, who must’ve paid a little attention in geography. Probably their 2nd or 3rd gig.

John Greenhalgh (background) was original lead guitarist until career commitments took over.

Armageddon didn't win this one. The PA had a problem during their performance and the judges didn't hear them. They had to re-record the songs after the show "for the radio".
Interestingly, Bogislav, the winners from Grafton, contained a young Don Walker, destined for Cold Chisel.
I think Mata Hari came 2nd.
